A portfolio tracker that never asks for your brokerage login.

Add your positions by hand or from your broker’s CSV export — no account linking, no credentials — and Tradune keeps the running total: what you own, what it cost, what it’s worth today, and how each move changed the picture. No spreadsheet formulas to maintain, no manual P&L.

The spreadsheet stops scaling

Most people start tracking in a spreadsheet, and it works — until it doesn’t. Cost basis across multiple buys gets fiddly. Realized vs. unrealized gains blur together. You forget to update a price and the whole sheet lies to you. A tracker’s job is to make the number you look at trustworthy without you babysitting it.

Track your portfolio without linking your brokerage

There is no account-linking step at all: Tradune has no connection to your broker, so it never sees your brokerage username or password and cannot place trades or move money. Positions get in one of two ways. Type each buy and sell yourself — deposits, withdrawals and stock splits too — or paste or upload the positions export your broker already gives you. The importer recognises Fidelity, Schwab and Robinhood exports, lets you map the columns yourself when it can’t detect them, and shows matched and unmatched rows before anything is saved. A symbol it can’t match is listed as unmatched, never priced at zero.

Cost basis, computed the way you actually sell

Enter each buy and sell and Tradune computes cost basis using FIFO, LIFO, or average — your choice — and shows realized and unrealized P&L under that method. Set it to match the method your broker applies on Form 1099-B: for stocks the IRS default is first in, first out unless you identify the shares you sell, and average cost is allowed only for mutual-fund-style shares and dividend-reinvestment shares (IRS Publication 550). Add to a position five times and the blended basis is handled for you.

Allocation and exposure at a glance

See how your money is split across positions and sectors, so concentration is visible before it becomes a surprise. Historical snapshots record where the portfolio stood each day, so performance over time is a fact you can look up, not a memory you reconstruct.

A daily briefing, in plain English

Every day Tradune summarizes what actually happened to your holdings — the moves that mattered, upcoming earnings and dividends, and anything worth a second look — in one short read. It’s the difference between checking ten tickers and reading one paragraph.

Frequently asked

Is the portfolio tracker really free?

Yes. The Free plan tracks up to 10 holdings with cost basis, P&L, allocation and the daily briefing — no credit card required. Pro lifts the limit to unlimited holdings and adds the deeper risk and tax analytics.

Can I track my portfolio without linking my brokerage account?

Yes — that is the only way Tradune works. There is no brokerage-linking integration: you enter trades by hand or import a CSV export, so your brokerage login is never requested or stored, and Tradune cannot trade or move money in your account.

How do my positions get in?

Enter them by hand, or import them from a CSV / broker export file — the import wizard previews the rows before anything is saved. Either way Tradune never needs your brokerage login, so your credentials stay out of the picture entirely.

Which cost-basis method does it use?

You choose: FIFO, LIFO, or average cost. The method drives how realized and unrealized gains are calculated here; pick the one your broker uses on Form 1099-B. For stocks the IRS default is FIFO unless you identify specific shares, and average cost is only permitted for mutual-fund-style and dividend-reinvestment shares (IRS Publication 550).

Can it track crypto too?

Stocks and ETFs are fully supported today. Crypto portfolios are not supported today.

Is this financial advice?

No. Tradune is an educational analytics tool. It shows you information about what you already hold — it never tells you to buy or sell a specific security.
